Arranged in two groups: I. Vocal scores (16). II. Orchestra parts (30). The vocal scores include three distinct editions by Ricordi (Milano), all in Italian. An incomplete copy, with pl. nos. 34682-34715, probably represents an early version, dating from 1860-1899(?). The other two editions, both with pl. no. 41381, represent the "nuova edizione con importanti aggiunti ed innovazioni dell' autore, come fu rappresentata al Teatro alla Scala di Milano il 27 Febbraio 1869." The shorter of these (320 p.)is further distinguished as the "nuovissime edizioni Ricordi." The longer (367 p.) includes one copy labelled "Stage Manager's Guide," which includes interleaved pages of manuscript stage directions and other annotations. The orchestra parts occur as two sets. Set A, containing 23 parts published by Ricordi(pl. nos. 46421 (I-XVI) and 34667-34670) is heavily annotated throughout. Set B consists of 7 manuscript parts (string and organ only) in Tams folders.
